Guests can take in the amazing ocean views from the master bedroom and living area in this condo. After a long day lounging by the community pool, guests can take advantage of dining on the balcony while listening to the sounds of the ocean. This family-friendly condo boasts a convenient outdoor shower, perfect to rinse off the sand after spending the day at the beach–you'll have direct beach access in case you'd like to dig your toes in the white, soft sands. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need and more to whip up tasty meals and beach snacks.

What's nearby:

The beautiful Isle of Palms beach is located just steps from the villa as well as the community pool. Rent bikes from the local shop and explore the paths around Wild Dunes. The Grand Pavilion is located just one mile down the street where you can eat and shop. Take a short drive to downtown Isle of Palms less than five miles away for additional dining and shopping. Make sure to visit downtown Charleston during your stay, just 17 miles away, where you can take tours, try the local cuisine, and shop! The Crabpot Players (four miles away) is a performing arts theater and they perform unique plays that will enchant everybody!

**ATTENTION GUESTS: During high tide there is minimal beach available for beach walking or lounging. Some neighboring complexes may have sand bags out to protect their dunes from erosion. Please do not attempt to walk on the dunes or sand bags.**

Beach Renourishment Notice: The island will be undergoing a beach renourishment project between July and September 2026. This important restoration effort helps preserve and protect our beaches for years to come. During your stay, you may notice construction equipment and occasional temporary adjustments to beach access in certain areas. This is our 2nd stay at Shipwatch Wild Dunes. Our unit was clean, well appointed with comfortable beds and furniture and a nice view of the dunes, beach and ocean. For a couple or small family Shipwatch is a great choice. We'll be back.

This condo is nice but a little dated with some maintenance issues, like doors peeling and rusting. Some things I noted while staying: Coffee pot had a small hole in the bottom, and molded coffee grounds left in it, mold covering shower head in master bedroom, washing machine full of mold and mildew, did not receive pool fobs with welcome packet and had to call to get them, unable to connect to internet. When I could get ahold of someone, they were efficient to respond (Internet, coffee pot, pool fobs). I found dirty clothes between the bed and night stand. Also, I have never stayed at a beach side condo that didn't provide beach towels for the guests. I cleaned all the mold with bleach myself and after that, the condo was comfortable. I probably would not stay here again.

Beautifully decorated and clean. We loved the pool and spent a lot of time there.

Very nice condo with a lovely beach view. Bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Would have appreciated some beach chairs as other rentals I have stayed at had them available. It would also be nice to have an explanation of the television remotes since they are often set up differently. Should also note that their is a step up into the MB shower and the height is low.

Overall a nice and comfortable apt, with a great view of the beach and a nice balcony. Two issues which should be addressed: first the twin beds in the small bedroom may work for kids but were really too small and uncomfortable for our 2 adults sons. Second, the wifi is terrible, 7 mbps which is ridiculous, and made our stay much less pleasant than it could have been, and our multiple requests to address it were largely ignored.

This condo is clean and well situated. Due to the trees and being on the second floor, the view is limited. Master bed is comfortable. Pillows could use refreshing and like every vacation rental ever, the kitchen supplies are poor. Overall, we had a nice stay and were generally pleased with the condo.

Lovely condo with "between trees" view of ocean. The condo was nicely furnished, updated and with very comfortable king bed. Kitchen had everything I needed and tele's were new and working well. Great location overall, especially if you like being inside Wild Dunes.

Booked this condo about 7 weeks before arrival and feel like it was a great deal.
PROS: great location (do not stay anywhere except Wild Dunes if coming to IOP)
Great ocean view. Kitchen well-stocked. Master bathroom quite spacious. Nicely furnished, but a bit worn.
CONS: internet sucks!! If you are planning on doing any work while here, forget it. Condo initial cleaning was a bit hit or miss...stained sheets in master, left empty water bottles, left a used rag...not what you want to see during Covid.

Definitely rent or bring bikes while here, there’s trails everywhere. My son golfed at The Harbor and loved it. Pool was nice. All in all, a great vacation. I would return here.

The Condo was very clean and nicely appointed. The ocean view from the deck was a huge plus and the elevator great for moving luggage in and out. Proximity to Isle of Palms and Charleston - perfect!

We did have a few issues upon check in with the access code to enter the unit. A call to the technican solved the issue pretty quickly. We also had issues accessing the wi-fi and it did take about 1.5 days to gain access however we did finally get the correct "network" and password information.

Answer:

We do not guarantee hair dryers in any of our properties, so I would bring one from home if it is required. 

Has poor Wi-Fi speed been addressed since negative reviews?

Answer:

The WiFi in this unit is currently provided by AT&T! Due to this unit's incredible oceanfront location, WiFi may become a little unsteady during times of high wind, such as storms. While this is not a common occurrence, our wonderful 24-hour maintenance team will be able to assist you with any potential issues that may arise. 

it states sharing a community pool, yet on the virtual tour, there is no picture of a pool.

There is a community pool! Because it is not located at this property, it will not show in the virtual tour. However, you can view the pool in listing photos 24, 25, and 26. 

If you would prefer a rental with a pool view, please give our office a call so that a vacation planner may assist you!

Does this property allow use of the wild dunes resort pools?

Answer:

This rental does not grant access to the private resort amenities. Wild Dunes' golf courses are open to the public, you just need to book a tee time before you go. You are also able to access any restaurants, stores, and spas within Wild Dunes (appointments may be required).

Is there a drip coffee maker requiring ground coffee or a Keurig coffee maker requiring k-cup?

This rental will come with two (2)  vehicle gate passes for the Wild Dunes neighborhood.
